Why I created the "Perfect" Golf Groomsmen Gift

Luckily, I’ve been a part of many weddings, four to be exact. I’ve fulfilled every position in the space: Groomsman, Best Man, and the Groom.

If you’ve been part of a wedding party, you know the drill. Between the extravagant bachelor parties and the rehearsal dinner jitters, there’s a lot of moving parts. And while a gift is never expected when you’re standing by your best friend’s side, a thoughtful gesture goes a long way.

The problem? Most groomsmen gifts are, frankly, a bit lazy.

The "Generic Gift" Trap

Search for "groomsmen gifts" and you’ll find a sea of the same four items:

• A bottle of whiskey.
• A case of beer.
• A cigar and a lighter.
• A "custom" flask that will live in a kitchen drawer forever.

But if you try to branch out into the golf space? Crickets. You might find a golf ball with your name on it or a divot repair tool, but that’s about it.

What do all these gifts have in common? They are one-use items. Unless your Groom is handing out custom engraved wedges (in which case, give me his number as I’d like to be befriend him), but these gifts don't last.

The M2TG™ Origin

I created Married 2 the Game™ because I wanted something different. I wanted a gift that felt unique, high-quality, and most importantly, useful long after the wedding day.

For my own wedding, I went full "DIY" and handmade custom bow-tie putter headcovers to match our tuxedos. Most of my groomsmen didn’t even own a headcover; now, they had a piece of equipment that not only protected the most important club in the bag, it also looked sharp around the green.

After the positive feedback, I sought out a professional manufacturer to turn that "craft project" into a scalable brand. We launched on Etsy, sold out in a few months, and I realized I wasn’t the only one tired of the status quo.

I wanted something that wasn't a one-use item. Something you wouldn't find anywhere else.

More Than Just a Wedding Favor

What started as a single idea has grown into multiple product lines, and we’re just getting started. I want Married 2 The Game™ to be your one-stop shop for unique golf gifts that aren't "a throw away item."
